“MY SUPPORTS”

I am a lead preschool teacher I currently have two aides working with me in the classroom and who is very helpful to me. We all respect and care about each other in our own unique way. As a Lead teacher with all the responsibility I have without I’ll call them Lisa and Mitchell  I  don’t know what I would do if I did not have those to they have help me through good and bedtimes. Without my wonderful TA I would not know what I will do without them. We work together and I am so glad that we have respect for each other and very open with each other the best thing is that we are a diverse group and that what make it so beautiful. When I forget things they are always there to support me in any way that they can without a struggles; I just don’t have a wonderful staff but I have some amazing diverse group of parents they I care about and they care about me and we have built a mutual bond with each other so we can do what is best for their child. I am grateful they donate items to the class without me even asking and they surprise us with gifts just to show us how they appreciate us taking care of the children and how they are so happy to see the children progress in the classroom from day to day make them proud to say they have a group of wonderful teachers that      caring, patient and concern about each child education in the classroom. I am blessed and appreciate all that    they do for me and my staff.

I feel  secure when I don’t come to work, I have confidence in my TA that they will make sure things remain the same even without  me being  presence and I am happy to say that about  Lisa and Mitchell. As I mentioned I do not know what I would do without my two TA who means so much to me. If I did not have them in the classroom I do not know if I can continue to go through what I go through on a daily basis. For example, paper work, DRDP, ECRES and so on.  I would not be able to fulfill all my daily duties that we as teachers have to go through. I know the feeling without having that extra support and it is not fun, but if Lisa and Mitchell would not be with me I will be overwhelm and out of alignment so I said all that to say this it is vital to have support around you this will encourage you that the journey is not so bad after all. What I love about my TA, I have got to know them on a personal level and they are just as great on the outside and they do well working with me on the inside of the classroom is amazing.

I am so grateful to have God in my life he has care me along way and with five kids and one with special needs and I decide to continue my education I have to give him the glory because I would not be able to do all that I am doing in my own personal strength. I am grateful to have a wonderful person and my children to stand behind me as I continue on in my journey it is not always easy to come back to

When I was younger, my family members including my dad, brothers, cousins and mom supported play.  I always had the opportunity to move and play with my cousins and friends in the neighborhood. My parents and teachers helped structure and support my learning My learning was support by my parent in a loving and nurturing way My mom and teacher will support me  in all that I do  and to make sure that I am learning the skills to better  help me . My mom taught me good manners and these manners have helped me along my journey. I had very supported teacher to help me to reach my full potential and develop the skills I need to succeed in school. For example teaching me my ABC, social skills, number and phonics. did your parents In the past, these needs were met at home and in the community, but now these needs are being met in a classroom to help each child at his/ her place.

I feel that play is similar from when I growing up. For example, I use to play  kick ball, play with my doll house area, play with  Barbie’s  and I use to love to pretend play and take on the role as the mother in the house are my said and I really enjoyed the art area because I got a chance to use my own imagination. We as educators have to realize the important of play.  Play is still similar as a child. For example, when I see the children playing in the doll house, I am reminded of the time when I used to play in the house and act out different roles such as pretending to be the cook, mom, baby and sister. My hopes for play today include allowing children to be themselves and let them explore their world around them. I believe that educators should allow children to use their imaginations when interacting with peers and when they participate in small group time.

I feel play is essential to development because it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children and youth.  Play also gives parents an opportunity to engage fully with their children. Despite the benefits resulting from play for both children and parents, time for free play has been remarkable throughout my childhood. Throughout my life my parents always thought that play was vital for me because it was a time when I was able to express myself and be able to use my imagination and be creative. According to Almon (2002) said, Play helps children weave Composed all the essentials of life expectancy as they know-how it allows them to resume life and make
It their own.

Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement. I like to thank you for wanting to see all of your students excel to their full potential.  I was honor to have you for a professor and I like to thank you for sharing your feedback and offering varieties of resources to help each student to continue on their journey at Walden University and as we continue to explore in Early Child Development.

The ending of this course is coming to an end. While I am very motivated about moving ahead on to the next class. I do feel the connection that has been formed amongst us during the course of this class; I have gained insightful information pertaining to the field of child development. I have greatly appreciated all the support and response from my classmates. I really enjoyed and reading discussion board and blogs from all my classmates every week and learned so much from you guys. The information and the resources have allowed me to learn new way of observing children and having a greater passion for my children that I work with and a better understanding when it comes to interacting with them.


I now developed a greater respect for my field of child developed. I pray that I was a help and supporter. I was able to provide some resources and material to my classmates. I pray that we will all continue to press forward toward this journey that’s before us and be able to use all the knowledge and resources we have gained from each other cannot believe this is the final week for class I have learned so much from you guys; I appreciate the support that each one of you has shared with me.  I was so grateful to be part of this amazing class. I received so much information that will last me a lifetime. You“guys” positive feedback and support you have shown me has been awesome in these last couple of weeks.  This class has help me in my field, and I was able to apply all that I have learned and now I am applying it to my life that all you guys have a bless year as you continue your journey.

This is an outstanding quote that extremely relates to our class work. We as educator and parents need to make sure we   our preparing children so that they are ready to continue a healthy positive journey into their adult hood. This quote reminds me as an educator and mom you are never too young to prepare children for their future.

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” For some we to train a child in a positive and healthy way. What this quote means we are to mold into form by correction and help our children to make wise decision as they grow into their adult. This is a quote I love because I am a mom of five and I was grateful to raise all my children in church and I was raised in church as well and I strayed away mom stood on this quote and I dedicated my life to God . This quote is related to our course work because over these lasted 8 week we have learned the importance as educator being an positive  example in front of our children so we can see them grow into healthy adults

Testing for Intelligence?
There are many forms of assessments that schools and educators use to see where a child developmental levels that range. Some of the general ones include: DRDP which allows access to observe, assess, and report on the development of school age children and Individualized Education Programs (IEP) which teachers, service providers, and administrators use to determine the level of a child. As a mother and educator, I truly believe that evaluations a great tool to use when it comes to evaluating children. I do not think that a single test score should determine the level of the child progress I personally believed that authentic assessment is better than assumption. Educators must be aware of the fact that children’s abilities can be measured in a variety of ways. I truly believe that cultural influences and environment play a key role in a child learning.  According to Berger (2012) parents may blame a child’s inability to grasp a new math concept or a low math test score on heredity, when in fact it may be because the child missed school when this skill was being taught and did not receive the instruction he needed in order to be successful. I believe according to Berger (2012) that a child’s IQ test can be raised extensively when the educator, child and parents are working together as a team. I also believe a parent’s negative outlook on a child can greatly impact how he/she will perform in school.

According to  In ( 1986), China enacted the Law of Compulsory Education, which required every child to complete nine years of
formal schooling – six years of primary school and three years of junior secondary school.6 By the mid-1990s, China had basically achieved this goal. According Kong ( 2012).  China has a long practice of extremely valuing education. This began with the Civil Examination System, established in 603 AD, which was also exported to Japan and Korea later in the 7th century. It was a very modest, yet well-organized system for selecting officials, and was known for its truthfulness and fairness. These examinations evolved over many periods before their establishment in 1905. The system had three tiers of examinations, at county, provincial and national levels. There were variations, but the general method used with the school-aged children was an essay test, where the candidates were confined for days in an examination cell, fed with good food, and required to write essays of political relevance. To do this, they had to be familiar with the classics I also have discovered good handwriting and writing styles were also part of the basic requirements. The final level of selection was usually held in the Examinations Department, which was often part of the imperial organization whoever gained the appreciation of the Emperor, who was virtually the chief examiner, would be the champion, followed by a few runners-up.  These winners were appointed to various official posts according to their examination results. 2? After researching this information, USA kids have it easy compared to the children in China.  Children in China must study constantly and be confined to a room for days.
I would like to share how vital it is for educators to be mindful of how they approach their student’s parents. Educators must always be polite and positive when first approaching parents about any concerns they may have about a child. After reading the article this week, I am not sure that labeling is always the correct way to define a child.  According to Snow (2009) each child has a medical judgment and those diagnoses do not define the child.  This statement is so true, and I personally do not agree with labeling children.  Just because a child learns differently, has different social skills or has different features, doesn’t give anyone the right to judge that child.  According to Snow, (2009) most of the children being mislabeled are a direct result of the children’s learning styles not matching the teaching style of the caregiver/educator. I personally agree with this statement because my daughter once had a teacher whose teaching style did not work well with my daughter’s learning style. As soon as I transferred my child to another class, she did well and the teacher also recognized a positive change in my child’s work performance. We, as educators, just have to be mindful and try putting ourselves in others shoes and so we can be more empathic toward others.
