Blog Assignment: Research that Benefits Children and Families—Uplifting Stories

After working in the field of early childhood over twenty plus years, I had a chance to experience to working with families who have children with special needs.  For example,  down syndrome, William syndrome and children with mental challenges. I have come to realized that research plays a significant part when it comes to the field of child development. As the early childhood carry on  and progress, experts essential be situated  and able to get the necessary information and be able to seek verified involvement ways and means on behalf of the different children.  As a state preschool teacher, I found involve with early intervention programs; in the early childhood. This expert make known to I myself in the direction of quite a lot of procedures. I noticed that the researcher support children development growth and I found out through the study. With Williams’s syndrome children and during my time spent with working with these diverse children and their families has significant impact on families. I have discovered that DIR-Floor time has been showed in more than a few out of countries and the impact it has on a child emotionally. That why I feel that research has a vital part in the field of early childhood and is very useful to educators to be able to stay current and up – dated to help the children. . With a therapy such as this,  it is essential that research continues in order to share the findings of either the success or challengers of the therapy so that more families will be able to utilize it.

My Personal Research Journey

Temika McCann

During this journey, I am going to study this topic, “How negative environment effect a child cortisol level in their child care environment” There are many reasons why I choose to learn more about how negative environment effect child cortisol in the child classroom environment. I feel this get overlook in child care programs, as an educator, I feel that children who are in a negative a stressful environment impact how they will continue to succeed. I have always being concern about these issues because educators do not realize the significant role they play in these children lives.  I work as a sub so I got a chance to see a lot and my concern was teacher was not getting along with each other’s so the atmosphere in the classroom sometime brought tension among the children and teacher because they had issues. I feel that every director need to make sure that children teachers are having a healthy relationship and that they are able to work their issues out in a positive way so the child will be able to reaches his/her full potential.

I myself was very nervous and excited at the same time. When I found out my next class will be on research the first thing came to my mind how will, I get through this class. On the other hand, I am starting to realized, I have to pass this class and with Dr. Kien support and her caring heart towards her students have allowed me to put my fears behind. I never took a research class on this level and I am excited that I get to learn what quality research paper should look like. I will have a chance to help the people I work with on a daily basis and share my experience and knowledge I have gained from this course. I cannot leave out these awesome classmates, I have that being very supportive to me in the past and now, I am grateful for them as well.  I have learned so much in the lasted two week and cannot wait to see what week three will be like. I feel the more confidence I have in myself the better I will do in the class over all If you have some ideas to help me along the way. I will greatly appreciate. Have a bless week.
