The first article that I look at for this week was very informative “Early Childhood Care and Education” What I have learned from this article the importance of brain development in young children. During these years this a very important time and this is where the foundation start. After reading this article it is very vital that educators realize the importance for preceding learning and development. I found out through reading this article how UNESCO advocates for Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programmers that attend to health, nutrition, security and learning and which provide for children’s holistic development. I also discover that It organized the first World Conference on ECCE in September 2010, which culminated in the adoption of a global action agenda for ECCE called Moscow Framework for Action and Cooperation: Harnessing the Wealth of Nations. I found out how this organization work  in partnership with Member States, partners and other shareholders to encourage suitable and effective putting into practice of the Moscow Framework as a result that the whole thing young children develop their potential to the completest.
The second article really caught my attention Big Push workshop to accelerate early childhood care and education in Africa”  I gain new insight Among the 19 African countries that have joined the Big Push Initiative to accelerate Education for All, four countries have chosen to focus on boosting early childhood care and education (ECCE). I really enjoyed reading this article it was very insightful Africa is a country that, I am very compassionate about and I am so happy to know about this big push workshop to accelerate early childhood in Africa.  I have also gained insight also  that "Today we know from evidence that the type of ECCE programmed currently being operated in many African settings is neglecting the cultural values and practices of their societies," This article have open my eyes and now I have realizes as an educator how vital this push is and the benefit that all these countries and children can benefit.

Thirdly. What are the three most important skills a child should learn? This is something that every educator need to make sure that they need to know the skills for our children to succeed and what I have learned about this article the important skills for children to know in oreder to be successful in school. According to UNESCO Bangkok Director, Gwang-Jo Kim, said in his recent interview: “One of the greatest challenges for education systems today is keeping pace with a changing world of work and equipping youth with the skills they will need in an increasingly knowledge-based economy. I agree with him because the world is changing so fast and things our moving quickly and so many new ideas, adapt to new realities and maintain a sense of curiosity throughout learning, I have discover and have gained insight that the UNESCO commissioned 2012 Education for All Global Monitoring Report, which focuses specifically on the issue, noting that the challenge of ensuring all young people have the opportunity to acquire the skills they need has sharpened acutely since the year 2000. I have found after reading these articles what skills our most important? What skills should we all be learning today? According to Govind Singh, Council of Pacific Education, Fiji “For a child to work across a huge spectrum of life, they will need life skills, core values and the opportunity to unlock the treasure within.” And also Vutha Lay, NGO Education Partnership, Cambodia “They need soft skills to be good citizens, vocational skills for employment and basic education to equip them with knowledge.” Overall these article have being very informative and  am so grateful that I now have information that I can share with families that I work with and my co workers to informe them with all these new changes that is taking place.
