Blog 8 Assignment

During this these last 8 weeks, I have had the chance to learn about the field of early childhood education and care in other countries.  This knowledge came through reading the blogs of my peers and analyzing practical websites.  There are three consequences of learning about the world-wide early childhood field: I learned not only how educator in my states handle and deal with issues of trend in the field of early child hood , but had a chance to view it on a international which made it more inspiring. I had discover as an educator When an issue or trend has been identified it can be very effective to research other countries who have had a similar issue.  I have learned the importance of Research and how it can be done to compare our identified issue/trend to another country‘s issue/trend and learn about their solution or proactive approach.

The internet makes available an excess of information on educators EC programs, EC education, and EC initiatives.  As an educator leaders who are leading the research, programs, and initiatives are from all over the world who can be contacted through email, mail, or phone which it make it very easy for educators to have a dialogue with other educator in other countries and we can help to support them as well through a varieties of methods. For example. Email, text newsletters websites and so on.  The internet provides communication opportunities with professionals in the EC field need to continue in their journey of early child hood.

After having this opportunity in this class to studying international EC programs and initiatives stirs passion and ignites innovation.  For my personal development, I have found learning about the international EC community an opportunity to enhance my career and help support my children and their families to be successful. I look for international programs and initiatives that inspire an continue to stay current in my field to better serve my children and to help them to reach their full potential in any way that I can.

Future Goal:
The goal as an educator goal for the field related to international awareness of issues and trends and the spirit of collegial relations have inspired and motivate to do all that I can to help these families be successful and make sure that I am helping these families to get the resource and tolls that need to be successful in helping their child succeed in school. The international EC community will increase awareness of issues and trends through consistent, open communication. I have discovered that communication can take place through many ways email, blogs, and informative websites. Educators and EC leaders and professionals throughout the world will use this internet to communicate issues and trends and most highly the taking the initiative methods to achieve high-quality care and education of the worlds of children.

Overall it is significant to continue learning from others, as you mention in your blog this week. If we are open to others ideas, as they have dealt with issues and fairness in the field, we can learn from them and gain new insights for our implementation. I like to thank Dr. Pickens and my classmates for such a clear statement of the consequences of learning about the international early childhood community. We should and do learn from each other and with each other when we communicate freely and openly. The research and revolutions will help us all. Have a bless summer as you continue your path in EC

  1. Temika,
You gave clear statements about things you have learned and from who you have learned them from this course. I enjoyed reading this blog. Learning from others, especially internationally, gives one different perspectives that can be used to help our children. It gives us areas that we can see is going on and want to advocate for as well. Wonderful blog. Hope to read some for the next course.

  3. Hi Temika -
You had such an amazingly informative post. I can tell you got so much out of this class just as I have. This class has been so amazing to me and learning about others. I agree with you about learning from one another no matter the location. I love the fact that with my position - I always take away something from each and every center I visit. It is such a blessing. I can bring in an idea and before I leave, they have taken an idea and built it up to be such an wonderful activity for the children.
Thanks for sharing, I have learned so much through your blog post and discussion boards. I look forward to more upcoming classes with you.
P.S. You and your family are in my prayers!
