I would like to share a story about a child who touches my heart deeply. A couple of months ago, a young girl in a class where I was the substitute for that day. She is a sweet, kind and loving little girl. Her mom abandoned her and yet she has something to be thankful for. Her grandmother who care for her she said who she loves and who take care of her now. Emily was very determining to succeed in school in spite of her obstacles that she faces at a young age. She would come to class and full of joy and supported to her friends and she is aware that most of her peers has their parents, but in spite of that she always have a smile on her face. She expressed to me how she feel sad inside, but all I could say thank God for grandmothers.
